So to say we are completely blown away would be an underestimation!!!

We are thrilled to announce that Whitebeam has been featured in the June 2023 edition of Your Dog magazine in its article on Holidays for Senior Dogs. As the first property reviewed and the only one in the South West, we are honored to have been recognized by such a reputable publication.
WHITEBEAM WOOD SLAPTON, DEVON This large, detached cottage with sea views welcomes unlimited numbers of dogs of any breed.
“It’s all about the dogs at Whitebeam!” said owner Emma Newey, who has three Gordon Setters. “Three of the four bedrooms and the living areas are on the ground floor, and a 1.2-acre garden and wood surround the house. This is securely enclosed with 5ft fencing, so perfect for oldies to gently explore.
“Dogs are welcome on sofas, or on beds if you bring your own bedding or pay a small laundry charge. All the floors are wood, but we researched wood with a lot of grain to make them less slippery and coated them with non-slip varnish.
“We can also provide visitors with details of an amazing, registered dog-sitter for older dogs who may not manage a long day out.
“The house is south facing, with a sun terrace and gorgeous sea views. There is a three-mile-long beach outside the village, which makes a great short walk or an even shorter drive, and both pubs in the village love dogs.”

Emma was invited in Spring 2023 to be interviewed by Alexis Conran for a program regarding holiday scams. As an Admin of multiple "book your holiday" Facebook groups and a holiday home owner who solely accepts direct bookings and promotes through social media, Emma shared valuable insights. In her interview, she shed light on how to identify a scammer on Social Media. Previously she also wrote a blog in which she provided advice on avoiding holiday scams.
