Views from Whitebeam Wood

We have stunning views from both inside and outside the house down across the village. All these photos were taken from within the grounds of Whitebeam Wood.

Views out to Sea and to Start Point Lighthouse, at night you can see the white beams of light from it across the sky.

The Tower is a Scheduled Monument. The Tower is all that remains of Slapton Chantry College which is only one of four such colleges to have ever been established in South West England. Built by wealthy local landowner Sir Guy de Briene in 1372 and dedicated to St Mary, he was incredibly influential in the court of Edward III and held much sway over local residents.
