When renovating Whitebeam Wood with the help of local contractors, gardens, and an interior designer, we took into account the fact that guests who bring dogs also deserve a relaxing comfortable holiday. Originally designed by a West End Actress to take full advantage of its unique position, the house boasts a lounge floor built as a spring dance floor, perfect for practicing and entertaining friends.
On arrival, follow the private drive and witness the peaceful and secluded location in the heart of the historic fishing village of Slapton. The property offers private parking for at least 6 cars and an enclosed garden and woods spread over 1.2 acres for you and your dogs to explore. Don't worry, the 5ft high stock fencing ensures your dogs are safe and secure while they stretch their legs after the journey.

As you step onto your private south-facing sun terrace, you'll be welcomed into the spacious entrance hall of your holiday cottage. This area is the ideal spot to kick off your shoes and leave your worries behind as you start your holiday. A door from the entrance hall leads into the expansive lounge and dining room, as well as the fully equipped kitchen.
The living and dining room is a dual-aspect space designed for relaxation and socialising. With comfy leather sofas, your dogs are also welcome to lounge around with you. The Smart TV and fireplace with a wood burner stove complete the cozy ambiance.
The kitchen is well-equipped with two ovens, a large American-style fridge freezer, a dishwasher, a wine fridge, and a microwave. It's the perfect place to cook and socialise, and we all know that great parties always start in the kitchen.
Through the kitchen, you'll find the rear hall with a door leading to the garden and the Beehive Bedroom and ensuite, which boasts beautiful views over the garden.
From the main hall, an archway leads through to the back of the house where you'll find two bedrooms: the Boathouse and The Lighthouse Suite, both with stunning sea views and ensuite bathrooms. There's also a cloakroom with a WC and hanging space for coats.
Take the stairs down from the main hall, and you'll arrive at the lower corridor, where you can access the Garden Room bedroom. This large ensuite bedroom has views out over the garden and woods. There's also a utility room with a sink, washing machine, and tumble dryer, and from there, you can find the outdoor warm dog shower, a perfect solution for muddy paws.
You can also enjoy our well-equipped games room, situated on the lower ground floor. It's an ideal spot to have some quality time with your loved ones and have some fun, featuring table tennis, table football, and magnetic darts. There is seating available for you to sit back and relax while watching others play. The games room is a favorite spot for both kids and adults, and we're confident that you'll enjoy it immensely!
